White Cheddar Mac and Cheese

I LOVE a good, creamy mac and cheese recipe, and I’m the mother of a cheese hater whose favorite meal is… wait for it… Mac and Cheese. He loves Panera’s mac and cheese, and he claims that this recipe is very similar. So today, I’m bringing you my well-loved white cheddar mac and cheese recipe. It’s super simple and delicious!

To begin, prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the box.

While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan.

Add in the flour and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add in the milk, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard and hot sauce. Mix well and allow the mixture to come to a low boil.

Reduce the heat to low-medium and add in the shredded cheese.

Pour the cheese sauce over the cooked pasta and combine.
