Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade

What’s this? A drink recipe? Who am I? I absolutely LOVE making lemonade, and today I’m adding a twist by making a sparkling blueberry lemonade. You’ll start by making a blueberry simple syrup and then adding that to a tart but delicious batch of lemonade. It comes together so quickly and even novice chefs can whip up this refreshing beverage. Here’s what you’ll need:

-Blueberries

-Lemons

-Sugar

-Water

-Sprite or Sparkling Water

-Ice

To prepare the blueberry simple syrup, add the sugar and water to a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

The next step is to add the blueberries and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to a simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Strain the mixture, leaving only the blueberry simple syrup behind.

Add the simple syrup, lemon juice, sparkling water or sprite and water to a large pitcher and mix well.

Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator, then when you are ready to serve it, pour the sparkling blueberry lemonade over ice and garnish with fresh blueberries.
