Homemade Pizza

Happy Thursday! I’m back with one of my absolute favorite things to make from scratch. Who doesn’t love pizza?! And the fact that you can make it quickly and from your home makes it even better! This homemade pizza recipe will have your family begging you to make it again. Gather the ingredients and let’s get into it.

To make the homemade pizza dough, you’ll need just a few things:

-Flour (Bread Flour works best)

-Yeast

-Water

-Salt

-Sugar

-Olive Oil

To start, add the warm water to a bowl along with the yeast, salt and sugar. Mix well and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes to give the yeast time to work its magic. It should look bubbly and beautiful.

Add the olive oil and flour and mix well. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until the dough comes together in a sticky ball.

Add the dough to a bowl and cover with a dish towel and allow the dough to rise for two hours.

Homemade Pizza

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Roll the dough out into a large circle. Optional: Crimp the outer edge of the dough to make a crust.

Melt the butter in the microwave and then add the Italian seasoning and Garlic Powder. Brush the melted butter across the crust.

Add the pizza sauce and any toppings that you’d prefer. You might notice in the picture below that 1/4th of our pizza has barely any cheese… My youngest HATES cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
