Magical Meals and a Movie: Hocus Pocus

I don’t know about you, but spooky season is one of my favorite seasons! I’m back this week with Magical Meals and a Movie, the weekly series where I pair some of my favorite recipes with a movie that I love. A few weeks ago, I hosted a Hocus Pocus movie night, and it went perfectly! I loved pairing these recipes with one of my favorite Halloween movies. I can’t wait to hear what you think!

Stay tuned, Magical Meals and a Movie: The Cookbook is coming soon! 15 magical movie nights and over 70 recipes including the ones featured in this post. Subscribe to my newsletter to be notified when it releases!Ā

The appetizer for this evening was Sarah’s Broomsticks. I used mozzarella cheese sticks and pretzel sticks to make this fun treat!

The main course included my Creamy Tomato Basil Soup along with cat and hat shaped grilled cheese sandwiches. I used cookie cutters to cut the sandwich shapes after cooking.

To drink, we had Winifred’s Witches Brew. To create this fun and delicious drink, you’ll need:

-1/2 Cup Pineapple Juice

-1/2 Cup Sprite

-1 Scoop Sherbet Ice Cream

-Gummy Worms for Garnish

And finally, for dessert, “Booooooooook” Brownies. This simple and fun dessert can be created using your favorite boxed brownie mix and these edible googly eyes that are found on Amazon.

I had SO much fun putting this movie night together! Be sure to try these recipes out the next time you watch Hocus Pocus or are in need of a spooky treat! Be sure to check out the other installments of Magical Meals and a Movie.Ā
