Easy Breadstick Recipe

Easy Breadstick Recipe

It’s a new day, which means I am back with a new carbohydrate-packed recipe. This time, an easy breadstick recipe. I made these into dinglehoppers for this week’s Magical Meals and a Movie themed to The Little Mermaid. These are really simple to make, and you can use the recipe to make any shaped breadstick you’d like!

Add the warm water to a bowl along with the yeast, salt and sugar. Mix well and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes to give the yeast time to work its magic. It should look bubbly and beautiful.

Add the olive oil and flour and mix well.

Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until the dough is sticky.

Add the dough to a bowl and cover with a dish towel.

Allow the dough to rise for two hours.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Divide the dough into 8 evenly sized pieces and roll out into 8–10-inch pieces.

Optional: Cut off a small piece of dough and roll out into a 3–4-inch piece.

Form each piece around one side of the breadstick to create a fun, dinglehopper shaped breadstick. (To make the dinglehopper) You can skip this step if you’re just making regular breadsticks.

Bake the breadsticks for about 8 minutes.

Brush the breadsticks with the melted butter and seasonings and then cook for another 5 minutes for a total of 13 minutes cooking time.

Serve these easy breadsticks with ranch and marinara sauce for dipping.
