Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Water warm
  • 1 TBSP Yeast
  • 2 TBSP Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 TBSP Butter melted, for brushing
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

Method

  1. Add the warm water to a bowl along with the yeast, salt and sugar. Mix well and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes to give the yeast time to work its magic. It should look bubbly and beautiful.
  2. Add the olive oil and flour and mix well.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes until the dough is sticky.
  4. Add the dough to a bowl and cover with a dish towel.
  5. Allow the dough to rise for two hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  7. Divide the dough into 8 evenly sized pieces and roll out into 8–10-inch pieces.
  8. Optional: Cut off a small piece of dough and roll out into a 3–4-inch piece.
  9. Form each piece around one side of the breadstick to create a fun, dinglehopper shaped breadstick.
  10. Bake the breadsticks for about 8 minutes.
  11. Brush the breadsticks with the melted butter and seasonings and then cook for another 5 minutes for a total of 13 minutes cooking time.
  12. Serve with ranch and marinara sauce for dipping.
