Mango Lassi Recipe

Mango Lassi

Mango lassi started as a simple yogurt drink in India, created to cool families down during hot summer days. When sweet, juicy mangoes were blended in, it transformed into the creamy, sunshine-filled treat we love today.

This mango lassi is one of my favorite drinks to serve on a hot day, or even to finish a spicy meal. It is so refreshing and sweet and the entire family will love it! You can easily adapt it to be dairy-free if needed by swapping the yogurt and milk for dairy-free alternatives.

For this recipe, you’ll need a blender. You can find my favorite blender to use by clicking here.

I love to top the mango lassi with different garnishes including:

  • Cardamom
  • Chopped Pistachios
  • Diced or Sliced Mangoes
  • Edible Flowers

To make the mango lassi:

In a blender, combine mango, yogurt, milk, sugar (or honey), and ground cardamom. Blend until smooth and creamy, then add a few ice cubes and blend again.

Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness as needed. Add more milk for a thinner drink or more mango or yogurt for a thicker one.

Pour the mango lassi into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom, chopped nuts, or mango pieces if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy cold!
