Homemade Granola Recipe

homemade granola

My teenagers absolutely love granola, but it can get pretty expensive to buy it every week at the store. This homemade granola has become a staple in my kitchen for that very reason. It’s so simple to make and can be customized for a fun and delicious snack. We love to eat it over yogurt and fruit, but it is also delicious in my homemade yogurt bark!

For this recipe, you’ll need: oats, honey or maple syrup, olive oil or coconut oil, brown sugar, cinnamon and add-ins of your choice. Our favorites include chopped pecans and dried cranberries, but raisins, chocolate chips, nuts and coconut flakes are also good choices!

To make homemade granola, start out by pre-heating the oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is preheating, combine all of the ingredients except for the pecans and dried cranberries into a large bowl and mix well.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and carefully pour the granola mixture onto the baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes, stirring once.
