If you know me, you know I’m a carb girlie. I LOVE all things that involve carbs, including homemade Artisan Bread. Now, if you’re like me, then maybe you’ve wanted to make your own bread but have always felt slightly intimidated by it. Well, you’ve come to the right place. Today I’m going to walk you through the easiest Artisan Bread recipe. It’s super delicious and really easy to adapt to your flavor profile.
Some of my favorite flavor add-ins include:
-Roasted Garlic and Rosemary
-Jalapeno and Cheddar
-Cinnamon Raisin
Simply add your favorites to the dough when you add the flour.
To start, add the warm water, yeast and salt to a large mixing bowl and stir well. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5 minutes so that the yeast can activate.

Add in the olive oil and flour and combine. Continue to knead the dough for another 5 minutes until a sticky ball forms.

Cover the dough with a dish towel and allow it to rise for about 2 hours.

Place the dough onto a floured surface a form into a round loaf. Place the dough onto a piece of parchment paper and cover with a bowl or towel then allow the dough to rise for another 30-45 minutes.

While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Place a large Dutch oven with the lid on inside to preheat along with the oven.
When the oven is done pre-heating, carefully remove the lid of the Dutch oven and place the dough on the parchment paper inside the Dutch oven.

Place the lid back on the Dutch Oven and bake the bread at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and then bake for another 10-15 minutes.

Allow the bread to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Try this Artisan Bread recipe with my homemade chili!
