If you know me, then you know I’m a HUGE Disney nerd. I love all things Disney and especially the Disney Parks. You might also know that for the last two years I’ve been on a health journey that involves being a vegetarian. It can be a struggle to find selections that fit my diet when eating at theme parks, or really anywhere in public, but I didn’t have ANY trouble on our previous trips to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. Here are some of the amazing things I found to eat as a vegetarian in Disneyland!
This first item is something that I am considering starting a petition to bring back. For a while, at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country, they served an AMAZING Fried Green Tomato Sandwich. I think about this sandwich all the time, and I am not sure what that says about me. LOL! It was decently priced, around $12 and was served with a side of fries. You know that I will be recreating this recipe ASAP since I can no longer get it in the parks.

Up next, we visited Rancho Del Zocalo located in Frontierland in Disneyland Park and had an INCREDIBLE dinner. I ordered the Cauliflower tacos with beans, rice and horchata to drink. These tacos are no longer available, but they were spicy and delicious. Even my meat-eating mama loved the cauliflower tacos. I hope they bring these back!

Up next, we park-hopped to Disney California Adventure and found even more incredible eats! We visited Cocina Cucamonga and I ordered the Tacos Dorados de Papa. These are described on the menu as “Crispy Potato tacos topped with cabbage slaw, dairy-free crema and tomatillo salsa. I ordered these twice! Once on our first trip and again on our second trip… and if they are still on the menu on our next trip, I will be ordering them again. At $10.49, they are a wallet-friendly option for anyone.

Also in California Adventure, we ventured over to Avengers Campus to Pym’s Test Kitchen. One of the vegetarian-friendly options was the Impossible Spoonful. On our first trip, I ordered it and my son ended up eating most of it, he absolutely loved the meatball. It’s rigatoni and ditalini pastas with an over-sized plant-based meatball. It’s $13.99 and a very filling option for even those who aren’t vegetarian.
Another amazing option at Pym’s Test Kitchen was the Quantum Pretzel. The Bavarian-style pretzel is also oversized, and it is served with a sharp cheddar cheese-beer sauce. Priced at $12.99, it is also a very budget-friendly option, and I would definitely order it again.

Up next, for my fellow adults out there, the “It’s Chile-Lime Mango Margarita!” This refreshing snack is a non-dairy mango soft-serve with tequila. chamoy, chile-lime seasoning and diced mango. Priced at $17.00, it definitely hit the spot and was delicious! I would absolutely order it again. You can find it at California Adventure on Pixar Pier at the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats Stand.

And finally, what Disney trip would be complete without a churro? You can find them all over the parks and I highly suggest you try one during your next trip… preferably during a parade.

And these are just a few of the things I ate as a vegetarian in Disneyland. Let me know what delicious foods you’ve found inside the parks; I’d love to add them to my list for our next trip.
