Crispy Homemade French Fries

Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, these homemade French fries are the ultimate comfort-food side.

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 lbs Potatoes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Vegetable Oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Slice the potatoes into thin fry-like strips.
  2. Soak the potatoes in cold water for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. When you're ready to fry the potatoes, preheat a pot of oil to 350 degrees.
  4. Pat the potatoes dry and fry them for 5-6 minutes at 350 degrees until light brown.
  5. Carefully remove the French fries and allow them to drain on a paper towel.
  6. Season with salt to your liking and enjoy!

Notes

If you prefer to use less oil, try air frying the French Fries! To do this, preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees and toss the fries with olive oil. Cook for 18-20 minutes, tossing several times.
