Chinese Donut Recipe

A simple and delicious recipe for Chinese donuts. These donuts are the perfect easy dessert recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 TBSP Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 8 TBSP Butter cold, cubed
  • 3/4 Cup Milk
  • Vegetable Oil for Frying
  • Sugar for coating

Method
 

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder then combine.
  2. Add the cubed butter and mix well before adding the milk. Mix well.
  3. Roll the dough out to about an inch thick. Using a biscuit cutter or mason jar lid, cut out the donuts.
  4. Heat the oil to 325 degrees and fry each donut for 2 minutes per side.
  5. When done frying, immediately toss the donuts in sugar.
  6. Serve immediately for best results.
